 “JAZZ IN THE PARK”

            Here Comes Summer!

It’s The Cape Fear Jazz Society’s annual free Jazz in the Park at the Beach concert co-sponsored by the Wrightsville Beach Department of Parks & Recreation at the Wrightsville Beach Park . 

            Another great musical jazz lineup this year!  The music begins with “Dick Van Gorder's Port City Five” with Dick playing reeds, Duke Ladd on keyboards, Jack Pindell- horns, and Dave Waylett on drums.   

            Our second set features contemporary sounds with “Lee Venters & Vermillion Sands” with Kevin Kolb on keyboards, Terry Burgh on flute and reeds and Taylor Lee on bass.

            Wrapping up a fantastic Wrightsville Beach Jazz in the Park concert, it’s Jeff Simmons conducting and performing with “The Cape Fear Community College Jazz Orchestra” with traditional big band swing to contemporary styles.
